PIRTON PICTURE HOUSE

Pirton Picture House was set up in 2014 and screens films in the village hall using an HD projector and dedicated sound system. Movies are open to all (certificate allowing) and are usually shown on the last Friday of each month. We also put on a special matinee showing of a children’s film at Christmas and occasional movie lunches in collaboration with JoyCare. A bar service for soft and alcoholic drinks is available during screenings along with the usual snacks and ice-creams.

Entrance is £5 payable on the door.

We have a small committee of volunteers who run the club, choose the films, set the hall up for screenings etc. and we are always keen for people to join us. We tend to choose films a few months in advance, aiming for a balanced program, and we are always open to ideas and suggestions for films to be shown.

What with one thing and another we have had to close our doors for the last 18 months, but as soon as our next screening has been chosen we will advertise it as usual on village notice boards, on Facebook and via the Parish Magazine. We are looking for suggestions for films to restart our screenings so if you have on one in mind do please let us know. (Contagion, 28 Days Later, Pandemic or 12 Monkeys are unlikely to be considered.)
